A few weeks ago I was at a friends house for the weekend and we had a lovely lovely time making soft sculptures from merino wool. She also showed me some attempts to make felt and had some lovely lovely silk roving laying around.
Although I am more of a paper gal I did enjoy the wool and silk so much that I decided to order some for myself. Maybe just to have around to look at and touch sometimes.I do plan to have a go at wet felting but after re-acquainting myself with the technique I discovered it involved slightly more than just some hot soapy water.

 

 

All this beauty came from the in Israel based oritdotandolls who lovingly dyed it all by hand, it came swiftly I might add, within a week of ordering. She is a very friendly lady who also makes gorgeous waldorf style dolls, toys and soft sculptures. Please do have a look.
