Wholesale for Retail and Artisans
After being asked a few times about wholesale and consignment I have felt the need to set up this policy.
Due to the nature of legal contracts involved in consignment purchases to protect both parties I will not be offering sale or return or other such consignments.
I will however offer wholesale prices to those purchasing in bulk for stock. There are certain critieria on wholesale accounts and each account will need to be approved and assigned a wholesalers code before making any purchases. There are two types of wholesale accounts availible, Retail and Artisan The differance being the artisan account is a smaller bulk deal that does have a lower spending limit and a smaller discount and restricted to the handmade supplies section of my studio. The retail account is for brick and mortar stores that wish to carry a range of my stock and can be used on any product carried in my studio with the exception of any exclusive items I may wish to carry at a later time.
If you are interested in buying my products at my wholesale rate you will need to;
Send an email to wholesale@scarlet-impressions.com
Detail your company, address, email, telephone number, website (if appilcable) and if required an alternative shipping address.
Specify if you are applying for an artisan or retail account
Once your company has been approved as a wholesale account you will recive your personal code for use when placing an order.

Awards from Sturton and Stow Annual Show
A couple of weeks ago I entered into a show in my area when I recived the book of categories I read through them and descovered I could enter 3 of the listed categories. An item of jewellery, a piece made mainly of metal and a piece made of clay, after the debate of would polymer clay count in a section I could guess would be mostly ceramic works.
I sent in my intentions to enter the 3 categories thinking that I would enter a jasper and freshwater pearl jewellery set I had just finished, my autumn wire wrapped pendant that I am still very proud of and a double set of polymer clay beads.
On the day of the show I walked into the hall hosting all the handcrafted items and was stunned by the quality of the entries. Getting to the jewellery category I saw a lot of bead weaving (a skill I have always admired and not yet been able to do.) and some beautiful strung pieces made with lampwork beads. I was the only wire working in the category and wasn't sure about what would happen because of the beautiful beadweaving. Next came the metal category my fears of entering this were that there were some large sculpture and functional pieces. Lastly the clay category which I have the most memories of, There was a 2ft sculpture of the globe hand painted and mounted to spin and some sculpted animals, there was a large spider that took up alot of the table space, pigs, cats and some I can't remember.
I left to go attend my stall and vending ceased before the judging and prize giving. I had to go home and my husbands grandma was going to collect my entries for me at the end of the day.
At 6 o clock that evening I got a phone call my pieces had been collected and would I like to know where I placed? Yes I would but I didn't have many expectations.
Metal - 1st, sorry the other entries had been collected when I got there so I didn't see the others.
Clay - 2nd, The fantastic globe had rightly taken first and the giant spider third.
Jewellery - 1st, a result I wasn't expecting, a beadwoven statement necklace took second but we don't know what came third.
As well as certificates I also won some prize money that covered my next fairs stall fee. The fair was in the same area as the show and I had many people coming to visit me to congratulate me on the prizes and my lovely designs. I will be entering next year, I don't have any plans for what I am going to create yet but I also hope to enter the glass category with some glass mosaic pendants I am working on.
If you have ever considered entering shows like this it is great to do. And a major feeling of achivement to place. I am still over the moon 2 weeks on.
