More Tins Have Arrived!

I have added more tins to my tin inventory thanks to my tin buyers in both Maine and New Hampshire. It's amazing how few tins are found in one entire season! But, they are pretty good lots for switch plates in coming weeks. A HUGE thanks to my expert tin buyers!

The lot pictured here is a sampling of what has come in. I have more reserved for a product I have in development. I will not speak further of this until I am sure it is fully developed and functional. I hope to announce the success of this in next month's post, so please check back.

I was recently preparing an email list of the hundreds of customers who have purchased switch plates from me since 2004. Tin Can Sally switch plates hang in homes and businesses in 48 states, including Hawaii. I have many loyal customers in Canada and recently sent a few to Japan! Wyoming and Alaska are the 2 remaining states I hope to add to the list to make it complete.

I have always been aware of which states come back for more, but I finally narrowed it down. I sell more switch plates to California, followed by Pennsylvania and Washington State!

Thanks to all my buyers who appreciate my work and for their contribution to making the planet greener!

My First Blog Entry

Hello and welcome to Tin Can Sally's first blog! I have never done this before, so bear with me . . .

I wanted to keep you informed and interested, so I thought this would be a great place to let you know what tins and pans I have found in my daily search for stuff to make switch plates and outlet covers from. It has been increasingly difficult to find tins in the past couple of years. I am not sure if it is because, in 5 years, I have actually bought everything in my area. If so, I might have to move!

It is the end of the yard sale season in New England, so I will now rely on finding tins and pans online and through my RecycleYourTins.com web site. This past Saturday, it was very cold! But I did find a cool vintage pan that I will make into a double switch plate. However, I will post it here and if anyone would like this made to order, please get in touch with me immediately. I am very quick to transform my finds into switch plates.

I hope to update this blog as I find new items. I might add other stuff for fun, but I will try not to bore you ; ) I hope to keep you interested! It is so much fun finding tins and making them into cool switch plates. As always, comments are greatly appreciated!
