Every week a different item from my studio is featured as the "Item of the Week" and this week's feature is one of my classic "Impressions of Nature," my Clover & Pine Pendant Necklace.

 

This lovely double-sided, nature-inspired pendant is completely handcrafted. It is hand molded, relief-pressed with a white clover blossom painted lavender on one side and direct-pressed with a simple spruce twig on the other. It's really two necklaces in one and no two are alike!

 

I love making these "Impressions of Nature" and actually miss the process during the winter months when the variety fresh plant material becomes ... less diverse. I actually make extra pieces during peak seasons and squirrel them  away so I can handle, paint and finish them during the winter. This little trick not only feeds my creative soul, it brings a little sunshine of summer into my grey, winter days!
