Workshop Makeover
Welcome to wildwood's new studio...our stone house has some built-in's that will make my workshop seem like it's always been there.
I have a belted grinder built into the thick wooden bench, and lots of power sources for my sander and router. There's also heavy duty bolts for attaching a vice, and wooden shelving for my finishes and hardware.
My CRAFTSMAN lighted bench is what I use the most, and there's also florescent lighting as well as adjustable spotlights. I will also have a table for painting and a cabinet for my wood stock.
Best thing about my new space is the view from the windows; worst thing about my new space is the uneven floor. I'll be posting some new photos soon that show the wildwood shop with all it's installments!

Wildwood is a local
Time for me to experience my first vending opportunity in my new community, Nolensville, Tennessee. Edge of the Wildwood has secured an indoor booth at the Jenkins Church Bazaar on Nov. 7th. My woodburning and other handmade goods seem to garner alot of interest in person, and I'm preparing to setup a simple display that will attract the shoppers.
Another great aspect of meeting my neighbors in person, is the opportunity for custom signwork. Most of this area is populated by horse farms and they are likely to order signs for their barns and stalls. My portfolio is filled with my work on custom signwork and I'll be sure that everyone I speak to knows my services are available.
I'm intensely focused on the appearance of my display --- and evermore appreciating the benefits of selling my crafts online. Just getting to this craft show will be alot of work, and cost me alot of money. I just hope my efforts are rewarded:)

Wood is Good
If you're like me, then you find it very hard to resist wood. I'm mesmerized by wood grain. Such a versitle and familiar material, that it just drags me in. Knock it for luck, or thump it for fun. Maybe you have a sweet fondness for cedar? Perhaps you have discovered the beauty of walnut? Or like me, you seem to have an appreciation for all things wooden. You needn't be a botanist or lumberjack to admire a solid chunk of wood. Just because WOODWORKING is at the bottom of the list, doesn't mean we are last. Come on back to wood...it's good.
