It’s hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. That means that people are starting to look for the perfect gifts for their loved ones. You can help them achieve their goal while also growing your ArtFire business using these simple tricks.
Online holiday shopping typically starts much earlier than retail shopping, and this year that is sure to be more true than ever. Shipping times are a huge concern for people, especially around gifting holidays such as Christmas and Hanukkah. If you have items in your ArtFire shop that are an ideal gift it is important to list them as such at least a month ahead of time, but preferably much earlier (ideally starting in August).
Tell Them What You Have
If you have a great Christmas present, say so! When people are searching for gifts they search for certain words and phrases: “best Christmas gift for boys”, “gifts for wife”, “unique gift for him”,… Be sure to include these phrases in your item descriptions so they are found when searched for.
Tags, Holiday & Promo Label
When listing an item on ArtFire you will come across a section called Tags, Holiday & Promo Label. It’s vital that you use this section to get your items noticed.
Under the “Holiday” drop down you can select one holiday or season for your item. Selecting a holiday association puts your item in that holiday or season’s gift guide.
If you are running a holiday promotion, this is where you would list that. By selecting one of the options from the drop down menu, your item will display a promotional message in search results and can entice buyers to click on your item. Things like Free Shipping are a great way to generate extra business.
ArtFire allows you to list up to 5 tags per item. You should use descriptive words to make your items appear in relevant searches. Be sure to separate each tag with a comma. You should use special tags to be included in special holidays. Ex. Christmas2020, BlackFriday2020, CyberMonday2020, SmallBusinessSaturday2020 (Special Tags do not affect your limit of 5 custom tags.)
Use your social media outlets and blogs to start talking about gifts, gift ideas, and the holidays. You could even put together a “Top 10 Gifts for 2020” guide. Let people know you have what they want. Include text that mentions the gifts you are offering as well as who they would be good for. Be sure to include high quality images that showcase your item.
If you would like to bring some extra attention to your items you can also activate Google Shopping and/or ArtFire Promotions. Both of these tools can be used to drive additional traffic to your store by showing your items to shoppers more frequently. With Google Shopping you can set a daily budget for your campaign. With ArtFire Promotions you are charged 50 cents per item which gives you 500 impressessions. Both of these features can be turned on and off at any time.
