Maker Mentors is an online community for creative entrepreneurs. Become a Maker Mentor today and get free access to resources for your business!Hi! My name is Cassie Boorn and I am the Founder of Maker Mentors.
I started my entire career surrounded by creatives, and my favorite thing in the entire world is helping people build businesses doing work that they love. I quickly became the girl that helped all of the creatives figure out how to make money from their craft.
I started my career in online marketing, and spent a few years traveling around the country to blogging conferences. I watched women from all different backgrounds come together and help each other build a business that gave them the life they always dreamed of having.
My goal with Maker Mentors was to create that same experience in an online format that was accessible to small business owners.
We lined up the smartest group of creatives we could find and launched Maker Mentors 2015. The conference brought more than 200 creative entrepreneurs together, and introduced them to new opportunities for their business. Here is what some of the attendees had to say:
Makers Mentors are creating a fabulous network for people around the world – as a mentor I enjoyed talking to Jessica who lives on the other side of the globe and it is amazing to get to know that she has been in my hometown and have exactly the same thoughts and creativity issues like people have here. It is a special community without geography but talking the same language. I am happy to be the part of it. And thank you, Cassie, for creating it! – Agnese Aljena
Participating as a mentor for Makers Mentors was a gratifying experience. It allowed me to share my knowledge with another artist and connect with the artist community on a deeper level. I love that it’s a place that artists from all levels can go to learn and help others at the same time. It creates a symbiotic relationship between everyone from the Sponsors to the attendees. I’m honored to be part of such an innovative way for people to learn how to grow their career. – Debbie Bean
