Thanks for shopping CreekSideCountry. I hope that you like my products. All of my primitive pieces are designed, hand painted personally by me, Phyllis Wenzel, in my own workshop. I have been painting oil and acrylics for over 30 years and I am still taking art classes.
For many years my husband, Jim, and I operated a True Value Hardware Store in Midland, Michigan. We specialize in high quality reproduction primitive and grungy wood signs, and primitive accessories. Primitives, Early American and antiques have always been our way of decorating (45 yrs), which lends to our ability to design our pieces to look like the old originals, We have traveled over the years to such places as Greenfield Village, Ford Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, Gettysburg, Mt. Vernon, Lebanon, Ohio Shaker Museum, Monticello, antique shows, antique shops and have researched their way of life as well as first hand experience on an aunts farm without electricity. We built our own new home to look old using the old Colonial Williamsburg trim throughout.
I am soooooo sad to say that I lost my best friend and husband Jim this January 5. I am now doing this on my own. Jim did all the packaging and some base coating for me. He had COPD caused from years of smoking in our hardware store. It might take me a little longer to get the items out and I thank you for your understanding..
Etsy has extended a new way to serve the public. Good services has always been my best policy. Please email me if you have any questions or special requests and I will try my best to help you out. I appreciate you as a customer.
