Get to Know
Making things has always been a part of my life. My favorite crafts are woodburning and painting. I still use my mother's woodburning pen that I learned with 20 years ago, and my favorite paints to work with are acrylics. I also enjoy working with polymer clay and have an admittedly folk art style. Photography is another enjoyable activity and I choose the most impressive of our photos to share.
I also enjoy baking and cooking, as well as gardening in whatever space I have to do so. I relocated to New Hampshire in 2008 and am still marveling at the nature around me. I blog about many of these things in my Crafts and cooking blog at http://aliciamae280.blogspot.com
I grew up in Indiana, living there until I attended Graduate School in New York (I do miss the city sometimes), lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for about a year and a half, and now currently reside in the White Mountains of New England. I create as a hobby - my day job is as a full-time, self-employed editor and writer, working from home and specializing in the medical and health sciences. I don't have enough room for everything I make so I offer them up for others to enjoy.
