I live nestled in a grove of eucalyptus trees in Lake Forest California with my husband Jon, our son Archer and our two felines. If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you that I am crazy about animals, especially cats.



When working on pet portraits I love to work in a variety of mediums from detailed pencil sketches and delicate watercolor to rich and glossy oils. I am continually captivated by unveiling process of each distinctive portrait as it comes to life in my studio.



Capturing and expressing the true essence of someone's beloved friend brings me great joy. I feel privileged to spend time with each unique animal as I bring them to life on paper or canvas.



I must admit that sometimes I wish I could enjoy more time with each portrait once it is compleated. But nothing is more rewarding then sending my finished portraits out into the world to be cherished by others.



My other passion is illustration. I have always loved children's books and have an extensive collection that both me and my three year read from everyday.



I love the whimsy and imagination that is inherent in children's illustration and I take much of my inspiration from animals and magical fantasy.
