Get to Know

Winged Imp Designs is your source for beautifully handcrafted, yet affordable, artisan jewelry and mixed media wall art.

In our jewelry collection, we specialize in intricately fashioned wire sculptured pieces using natural semi-precious stones. Our jewelry collection also includes pieces created from vintage beads and findings, all repurposed into imaginative designs for today. Our overall jewelry line ranges from very affordable earrings and bracelets to exquisite artistic necklaces. We also do custom work, so keep us in mind for weddings, proms, and other special occasions.

We recently added mixed media artwork to our shop. In this collection you will find pieces ranging from fun and funky mini-canvases to highly detailed and complex mid-size wall art. To create pieces, we use assemblage and collage techniques as well as traditional painting with acrylics, watercolors, and other mediums. And, as with our jewelry collection, each piece is one-of-a-kind.

The artist behind Winged Imp Designs, Tina Noonan, began her artistic journey as a young girl; learning needlework, decoupage, beaded embroidery, clay sculpture, and many other techniques from her very crafty and creative mother. Despite that background, Tina's adult life took her away from the creative life and into the business world. She returned to those roots several years ago when she discovered wire sculptured jewelry techniques. She has since done formal training in metalsmithing, metal clay, stained glass, and lampworking. Today, the jewelry and mixed media artwork of Winged Imp Designs combines the best of those experiences into truly unique and exciting pieces of art.

The Story Behind Our Name: Our company name originates in one of Tina's special childhood memories: chasing the giant moths of summer under the outdoor light of her rural Indiana home. To her, the most impressive of these moths was the Imperial: a gorgeous specimen with yellow and violet wings. She has also always been an avid reader, and one of her favorite childhood books was Gene Stratton Porter's “Girl of the Limberlost”, a story which features the lovely Imperial Moth. One of Tina's little-girl dreams was to someday own a store and name it after the gorgeous Imperial. When she founded her jewelry design business, she unearthed that little-girl dream. However, she felt that Imperial Designs wasn't quite the fit she was looking for, so instead she shortened "Imperial" to "Imp". And, since it was the moth's beautiful wings that had originally attracted her, she added the word "Winged". Hence, Winged Imp Designs was born.
