MY ENTRY: 3-14-2012 715AM.

I MADE A NECKLACE, SILVER LINK CHAIN WITH SILVER STATION BEADS IN THE CENTER CHAIN AND OUTSIDE. I ADDED CHEZCH CRYSTALS IN BLUE, RED AND GREEN INSPIRED BY THE COLORS OF THE FLAGS IN THE PHOTOS. THE FOCAL BEAD WAS MADE BY ME, MADE OF POLYMER CLAY USING A TECNIQUE CALLED A RUFFLE BEAD IN RED, GREEN AND BLUE WITH MICA POWDERS. FIRST TIME MAKING ONE SEEMED SIMPLE UNTIL I STARTED TO PUT ALL THE LITTLE RUFFLES TOGETHER. I STUCK WITH THE BRIGHT COLOR SCHEME OF THE FLAGS AND THE PROPELLER ON THE CART OR FESTIVAL STAND. ON THE FOCAL ART BEAD I ADDED A DANGLE OF RUFFLE BEADS THAT LOOK LIKE LITTLE FLAGS. DANGLED WITH CHEZCH CRYSTALS IN THE MATCHING COLORS. I CREATED MORE SIDE ART RUFFLE BEADS FOR FLAGS BECAUSE IN THE PHOTO THEY SEEMED TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN THE STREET SO I WANTED TO CONTINUE WITH THAT BEAUTIFUL COLOR THEME.

MY THINKING ON THIS BRIGHT AND LIVELY PIECE IS THAT IT LOOKED TO ME LIKE A FESTIVAL OR SMALL TOWN FAIR. PEOPLE DRESSED UP WALKING DOWN THE STREET, FLAGS FLOWING IN THE AIR AND BRIGHT COLORS HERE AND THERE. I WANTED TO BRING THAT COLORFUL ATMOSPHERE TO LIFE. I ENJOYED CREATING THIS FUN PIECE HOPE YOU ENJOY IT TO. HAPPY CREATING.
