This week's challenge (The Diva's Weekly Zentangle Challenge) is to create a tangle that focuses on bringing awareness to a disorder called Moebius Syndrome.

What is Moebius Syndrome?
Moebius syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that is present at birth. It primarily affects the 6th and 7th cranial nerves, leaving those with the condition unable to move their faces (they can’t smile, frown, suck, grimace or blink their eyes) and unable to move their eyes laterally.

About the Tangle:
I saw the square/starburst pattern online and wondered what it would look like on curved lines...it turned out pretty cool, I think. But having a plain starburst pattern didn't quite work with the Moebius symbol so I decided to try my hand at shading. Good thing I have charcoal pencils in my art box. Shading definitely helped the image pop...but my camera can't seem to capture how nice the shading really helped.
Within the Moebius symbol is another pattern I found online which reminded me of nerves which this syndrome affects.

Nice job on the shading, and I love the background pattern.

Thanks for liking this tile! I wish I could take credit for the main design, but I completely forgot to mention where it came from originally. The design is the Logo of http://www.moebiussyndrome.com/

Lovely!!! I do see the shading and I think it's very well done.

Like how you "wove" the Moebius strip into the tile.
