In staying with the Valentine's theme this week, our Design Team project for the cutting cafe was to use one of the Templates featuring the Hershey Kiss. I chose to use the Hershey Kiss Window Card, but did a twist on it. Instead of using the window, I used the Hershey Kisses that were cut out to create my card. Hugs & Kisses. Here is the link to where you can get the Hershey Kiss Window Card Template
My Card is also a play on the XOXOXO (Hugs and Kisses symbols). I used the X's for the "hugs" as usual, but the Hershey Kisses for the O's or "kisses".
This card is created using a light pink cardstock base. The next layer (and hard to get a good photo of,) is a layer of silver foil. Ten I used a bright multi-colored striped paper to tie the colors in I wanted. I used the Hugs and Kisses Giltter Sentiment from the Paper Studio Cardstock Glitter Stickers, "Love" line. I backed it with silver foil and the hot pink glitter cardstock that I used for the X's. Then I popped it off the card with foam dots.
I used silver foil to create my Hershey Kisses as cut from the Template for the Window Card. I also popped them off with foam dots for added dimension. (again, it is very difficult to get a good photo of the foil). I used a sharpie on the Kisses to give them a shading for dimension. The X's as mentioned above, were cut out of a glittery Hot Pink Cardstock. This makes a nice Valentine, or can be used year round to send "Hugs and Kisses" to that special someone.
I hope you enjoyed this week's project. Thank you for taking the time to check in and be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe at this link below. You will be hooked on their awesome templates!
