This week's project for the Cutting Cafe Design Team, was to make handmade embellishments and use the Embellishment Box Templates to display them in.
Here is the link the the template at The Cutting Cafe for the Embellishment Box templates.
To Create the Embellishment Box -
I used the template to create the yellow background that matched the floral paper that I used for the box itself. The base and top of the box use the floral paper which has the lime and cream polka dot pattern on the backside, which you see in the inside sides of the box as well as in the hearts. The base of the box is lined with a solid black cardstock so you could see the pattern of the Card Candy inside. The top of the box uses the flower cardstock and lined inside where the cutout is, is a clear acrylic which creates a window in the box where you can see the Card Candy inside.
The top is removable while the bottom of the box is attached to the
yellow cardstock base. The templates offered by The Cutting Cafe, offer
several headers for different types of embellishments you might enclose.
To Create the Card Candy Hearts Inside the Box
I alternated a pale pink cardstock and the lime polka dot cardstock on hearts in different sizes cut using my Cricut. These hearts are from the Cartridge entitled,  Each layer of the hearts are separated by foam pop dots which gives them dimension and a 3D appearance.
To keep the Card Candy Stationery in the box, I used a Elmers Adhesive Square. It is easily removed from the box to be used on cards or scrapbooks, but will stay in place while displayed in the box.
And here is a sample of a card I made using one of the Card Candy Hearts
I wrote, "SWAK" on the pink part of the heart for the theme Hogs and Kisses.
I hope you enjoyed this week's project. If you haven't had a chance to stop by the Cutting Cafe, please do. You won't be sorry. If you are a card maker or scrapbooker, you will LOVE the templates they have available. They are adorable, creative and best of all, affordable!
Thanks for checking in and Happy Scrapping! Y'all have a blessed and safe Valentine's Day!
