We had some fun projects this week. We could choose between the Handmade Layered flowers set or the Paper Flowers set.
I used the Layered Flowers Set and created this Mother's Day Card.
Here is the link for the Layered Flowers Templates from The Cutting Cafe.
I made this card using the Layered Flowers to create my flower which Makes the "o" in the word MOM on the front of the card. The base of the flower is a baby blue cardstock. The edges are shaded with a light gray ink. The next layers is using some of the same paper in the background and shading the edges with light gray again. The next smaller layer is another piece of the baby blue cardstock. The top layer is the brown cardstock as used as the base of the card. The center of the flower is a baby blue rhinestone. That matches the baby blue rhinestone border. I popped the layers with foam dots to give it more dimension.
The base of the card is a brown Bazzill cardstock. The next layer is a baby blue Bazzill cardstock. The top layer of paper is out of the Colorbok Designer Paper, French Prep Collection. It has hues of brown, ivory and baby blue. This layer is outlined with baby blue adhesive rhinestones. The two M's that with the flower center make the word MOM are made using the same Brown Bazzill that is used in the base of the card. They are shaded with a light gray ink around the edges, and then hand drawn stitching in baby blue outlines them.
I loved making the flowers. There are many times when I am creating my cards and don't have the right flowers for them. This will solve that problem. I also love that you can create flowers with a vintage feel and I love to do old fashioned vintage and Victorian cards, so I am loving the versatility of these files. If you are a scrapper or card maker, I urge you to check these out !
Thank you for checking in and Happy Scrapping!
Have a Blessed Day!
