Category: Countdown to Mother's Day 2013

The third weekend of sharing on Julie and Blu's 12 week "Mother's Day Gift Idea Countdown" has passed with LOTS of fabulous handmade and vitnage shares to show for it.  The second week was a resounding success with 78 items shared. This week stayed pretty much the same with 77 items for everyone's shopping pleasure.  Mother's Day is fast approaching, so it's definitely not too early to begin looking for the perfect gift to light up your Mother's eyes.  Shop early . . . shop often!

Shop owners from ArtFire, Zibbet stand alone websites, Etsy and the like are invited to share up to three gift items between Friday around noon and sometime late Sunday night.  Thena new collection of gift ideas will start the next friday, and so on, until the twelve weeks are up and Mother's Day is here.  The items shared need to be G-rated.

Participating in the Countdown will provide those all important back links to your studio items and will help you be more easily found by the Google gods.  If you share items, you MUSTpromote each item in the countdown collection.  Pinterest and/or Wanelo are preferred since everyone can see the items and it is easy to save and re-save again.  Twitter and Facebool just do not provide the ability to find items easily to share again and their links are not as long lived as Pinterest and Wanelo.

In addition to saving all the items shared in the Countdown into my new Countdown Pinterest and Wanelo boards/collections, I decided to share one item from each of the ArtFire artists who participated.  I'll try to do a blog post for each week, but I have two shows coming up so might miss 1-2 weeks. I hope not!

Soooo . . . pull out a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil (or get your bookmarks ready!) and begin your shopping list!  And, above all, have fun!  Here are the rest of the items pretty much in the order they were shared in the Countdown collection:

If you are so inclined, please leave a comment and make my day (:  Any and all promotion you can do will be greatly appreciated and will benefit us all!
