For the first time, after 34 years in business, I have shipped an order of soap so large it had to be picked up at commercial loading dock, palletized, loaded with a fork lift and travel by tractor trailer!
400 pounds of soap, each bar handmade one at a time by me. Â
Thanks to my son Rob who helped me with the heavy lifting and used his Marine Corp warehouse management experience to take care of the professional pallet packing. Â Also, thanks to Carol who helped with the final packaging of the soaps into individual boxes. Â This was quite an undertaking but it was successfully shipped three weeks before deadline. Thanks to Fiore's for the use of their dock and fork lift.
It was exhausting to produce and fill this order especially since I moved my semi invalid Mom into my home a couple of months ago and serve as her caregiver. Â She demands a lot of my time in addition to my regular job and still filling my normal soap orders. Â The good news is that all of this soap was sold at full retail so it will be a nice profit once the check comes in.
Exciting to be on a television shopping network, I hope it sells well!
Here is the video of the on air presentation.  It contains safflower oil, not sapphire oil.  I never told them it was all natural, my clear soap isn't all natural and the colors and fragrances aren't natural either. You can't get those colors with natural colorants. One of my pet peeves is soap makers who claim all natural or organic when their soap obviously is not. The lavender essential oil was natural but not the other two fragrances.I also provided them with a detailed fragrance description for each of the soaps but obviously she did not get the info. The amethyst is scented with pure lavender essential oil - she said it was peppermint???  She got the ruby correct, it is ruby red grapefruit fragrance oil and the sapphire was a spa type ocean scent. Oh well, I can't control that they say even though I gave them the correct information.
Thanks for visiting,
