Flowers in a Vase Art Jewelry Rare Sea Glass Pendant Necklace Copper

Image Description
Say it with flowers! But not those same old, boring flowers. This one of a kind sea glass pendant necklace is called "Flowers in a Vase", and for good reason. It features three textured copper daisy buttons, wrapped in a bouquet with copper wire, rising from a lime green piece of sea glass in a unique vase shape. The unusual art pendant hangs from an 18 inch copper chainmail necklace in a 3 in 2 pattern, all put together by hand, one ring at a time.

I discovered this very rare piece of seaglass on a recent trip to Newfoundland, and oh, what a unique piece it is! I can't for the life of me figure out what it used to be. The color is a pretty, muted lime green. It stands about one inch tall and has an hourglass shape, completely unlike any other piece of sea glass I've ever seen! At the time, I had no idea what the piece would eventually become, as its shape would not allow for conventional wire wrapping.

I like to keep all my sea glass pieces in their natural state. I clean and polish each piece by hand, other than that, it is exactly as it emerged from the Atlantic Ocean. Completely natural, no tumbling or drilling. The flowers are attached by wrapping the copper wire stems around the center of the sea glass piece, and it's hourglass shape allows for the pendant to hang perfectly.

The total length of the pendant is 2 & ¾ inches, or 7 centimeters. The chain is 18 inches, or 46 centimeters, and closes with a lobster clasp. If you would like the length of the chain adjusted, just let me know and I'll be happy to accommodate!
