Chunky Blue And Orange Bead Bracelet With Fossil Coral

Image Description
When the opposing elements of fiery orange and deep navy blue are combined, a combustion of color occurs. This chunky bracelet features a combination of glass, crystal, porcelain and stones in three layers. Faceted, marbled glass in deep reddish orange looks like it came out of a volcano. Mottled blue porcelain beads have a watercolor texture. Small, wheel shaped beads of fossil coral represent the neutral element. Gray glass seed beads and smoky, faceted crystal beads match the stones. Notice the cones at the ends of the bracelet? I coiled gray polymer clay over gold toned brass to make them work for this piece. Nuggets of juicy orange quartzite and small carnelian beads are the brightest, but the swirly fire glass is my favorite. The three lines of nylon coated steel jewelry wire each have their own segmented pattern of beads, and each line is individually crimped and housed under the grey cone. This bracelet can be adjusted between 8 and 11 inches. Despite being 8 inches long, the bulk of the beads makes it a perfect fit on a 7 inch wrist too. The closure is a rhodium plated copper lobster claw clasp.
