Get to Know

My name is Allie Ryser and I live and work in Blaine, Washington in the NW corner of Washington State.

I am so lucky to have a beautiful studio in the basement of our home where I can spend hours in front of my oxy/propane torch turning Italian Murano glass into beautiful beads and jewelry. I have been making glass art for over ten years, starting with stained glass for several years. Moving to lampworking when I was introduced to the craft by a good friend. I found it to be such a relaxing hobby and was hooked right away. I find inspiration in all kinds of things around me, always making mental notes of possible color combinations to try next.

This fish was made out of stained glass lead H came, the same as used in glass windows. I wanted to experiment using it in a different way leaving open spaces in between the pieces of glass. This piece is on display in the Blue Horse Gallery in Bellingham, Wa
