Skills and Techniques

What skill does it take to capture a dream, to nail down a story, or bind inklings of the mind's eye to curios and curiosities? My techniques may be mysterious, but I assure you it does not involve demonic possession, the fleeting life of virgin souls, rare poisons from old Arabia, alchemy or time travel.

Get to Know

Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits, and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd tow'rs, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.

Come, indulge yourself in this devilish dance of dreaming. There are night terrors in glass bottles and chimeras suspended in silk. Read the words trapped for all eternity... there are souls to discover and chaos to bind.

I am the only occasionally mad creator of the dreamlike, surreal fantasy webcomic Between Places, found online at

Unfortunately I have been bound to this mortal coil by such trivialities as flesh and blood, and must indulge my tendencies to flee into the sky in the inklings of night, between star and imaginings of the mind's eye. I have done my best to capture the wild wanderlust of all that lies between but such a limited dimension can only hold so much of the Element X.1 before it grows far beyond the comprehension of simple, distinguished wanderers of this vision.

I assure you all these dabblings are completely safe for humans, and will not explode on contact with human flesh. I am not liable for any damage that may occur should these items be eaten, inhaled, used as weapons of mass destruction or taken into negative space.

Here, touch this one! I hear it calling your name. It will look lovely with your eyes and most assuredly will not bind itself to your eternal soul as your little life is rounded by a sleep.

A psychopomp is a guide. You didn't think you would make it through the land of the dead alone, did you?

Bracelet no. #17... may explode on human contact. Or perhaps it won't.

Once upon a time the moon was carried by dragons. Science had the nerve to disprove this.
