Skills and Techniques

I have trained in many areas. I learned garment construction from my mother. Trained in graphics arts in high school, had a sign painting shop for awhile and I am a master reweaver. I have extensive experience with embroidery of all kinds, I also dye and needlefelt. I am a pencil artist but have worked some in oils and acrylics. I also have done many glass paintings. I just love to do things with my hands.

Get to Know

I was born in Illinois, youngest of six kids. I spent most of my time growing up either sewing, reading or drawing. In high school I went to a special vocational school and trained in commercial art. I went on to study fine art in college and worked in the graphics department there at the same time. After college I was a stay-at-home mother for several years but still continued to create. I had a sign painting business for a few years, made square dancing costumes and cheeerleading outfits for awhile all the while moving all over the country! I settled in Seattle for 12 years and owned my own reweaving business. It was a hard and stressful job and I was glad to leave it behind. After falling in love with my french sweetheart, I gladly let him sweep me off my feet to France. Now I spend my time with him or creating. I am fortunate to have found a very supportive and helpful partner in him!
