Quick Blurb

I share a century old farmhouse with my husband and two children and try to sneak a little craft into our day whenever I can.

millinery, jewelry, fashion, home improvement, green living, politics, history, literature, children's development, art, sewing, knitting, painting...

Skills and Techniques

I have a BFA in Art and Design, but my main artistic interests lie in handcrafts rather than the "fine" arts...I think the best handcrafts blur the line between the two.

I am a self-taught jewelry designer and seamstress, and my most consuming passion is in making vintage-inspired headwear.

Get to Know

I began reworking old jewelry into new pieces along with my mother when I was a grandmother would hand over her less-than-perfect costume jewelry and we would combine older and newer elements to make one-of-a-kind necklaces and bracelets. Sometimes kitschy, sometimes sublime, our creations were always fun to wear because each one had a story. When I made a tiara for my sister to wear on her wedding day using very old glass pearls and crystals from jewelry that had belonged to three generations of women in our family, something clicked and I knew I wanted to create pretty things with a little bit of history to commemorate milestones in a woman's life.

The tiara was a success, which led to more jewelry commissions from friends, family, and friends of friends, and a business was born!
