Yellow Lemon Sky in the Caribbean
Our family was anchored in Canegarden Bay on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands when, very early one Morning, under a pale yellow morning sky, this beautiful sailboat came into the anchorage. I snapped a picture of it with my Hasselblad. Later, as I reviewed this scene, I manipulated the colors with "photoshop." Years later, I drew this picture with several software programs including "Corel Painter" software This is the result. I print the image on Rice paper ( a difficult process, by the way) and then mount the rice paper on Arches Watercolor paper. I think I am the only person to use the technique and I like it because it seems to produce a strong pastel color combination.
I produce 50 prints of each image I work with, then number and sign each picture pulled. The image size is 12x18 in and is designed to fit a 18x24 standard frame if you include a 2 1/2 in standard art map. I provide free shipping and I include by bio and instructions for framing.
