These nylon jaw jewelry pliers are used for compressing ribbon crimps or clamps on the ends of ribbon. They keep scratches to a minimum.
I use mine every time I make a ribbon choker necklace or ribbon bracelet. They're very handy and just the right size.
When I use them, I put the clamp between the jaws, add the ribbon and then hold it in place while I squeeze the handles.

If you need ribbon clamps or hardware kits, see my other listings.
These pliers work great on silver, gold, gunmetal or antique bronze ribbon crimps.
These pliers are about 5 1/2 inches in length and if only used on ribbon clamps are quite durable. My current pair has made several hundred ribbon chokers and bracelets and I don't see a need to replace them yet. I take care of them and they take care of me.
