My name is Terry Nelson, art has been in my background since I could pick up a pencil, and what I'm looking to do is donate a portion of the proceeds specifically pertaining to the Eritrean people. Below you will see a couple pieces of artwork that I created, and you can also go to my Facebook page to see the additional pieces of Eritrean art as well. Each print has a limited run of 50 for each print, and because of the painstaking process and labor of love, none of the Eritrean prints will be produced ever again. I would love to hear back from you if you have a moment, and gain some insight on how this could be accomplished. But more importantly, where can the proceeds go to maximize the impact for the Eritrean people.
Again, thank you for taking the time to view this email, and I would be forever great full on any information that could further this cause.
Terry Nelson

Inspired by the people of Eritrea and Ethiopia, this artwork aims to capture the essence of the Eritrean and Ethiopian people. The prints are screen printed, have a limited number and series. These renditions were created by using a technique called serigraphy, in which the artist breaks down the colors of the picture and begin making films to be able lay one color on top of the other. These are hand pulled, which speaks to a very unique type of art because of the painstaking work of having to print each image one color then destroys the original "film". In the process to achieve the final end product, this particular print consists of 39 colors.
Terry Nelson was born in Sisseton, SD where he graduated from high school, and then went on to college at Northern State University. As far back as he can remember, Terry has always had a passion for learning new techniques in art.
- Why Eritrea?
Terry was stationed in Eritrea during the Vietnam conflict as a supply coordinator. He fell in love with country and all of it's beauty, and while stationed there, he made many life long friends and said he could also see himself moving back to Eritrea.
