o Your jewelry is carefully packaged for shipment and all jewelry is gift wrapped. Within the US, jewelry is packaged in a cocoa colored gift box with a ribbon and a card about the sea glass. For Canadian clients, i may gift wrap in an organza gift bag instead of a box to reduce your shipping costs.
o Shipping is via USPS First Class mail or Priority Mail in the US and includes delivery confirmation.
o I use USPS First Class International for Canada. This can take about 2 weeks. The customer is responsible for any applicable custom charges that may apply.

Shipping charges:
o US: $4.95 for first item; $1.00 for additional items (includes delivery confirmation).
o Canada: $8.95 for the first item; $1.00 for additional items. Customer responsible for customs.

EASY RETURN PROCESS FOR ON-LINE SALES
Returns are accepted within 7 days of the date you receive your order. Returned items must be in their original, unused condition. Please ship item(s) in a padded sealed bag with your gift box inside of a padded envelope or a postal box. Please include a copy of your receipt. Shipping fees not reimbursed.

We do not accept responsibility for returned parcels lost in transit. That is why we purchase "delivery confirmation" when we mail a package to you for shipment in the US and recommend you do so as well so we can track your package if I do not receive it. Insurance is also available by parcel carriers and we recommend you purchase that when you return the item in case it is lost in transit.

Custom jewelry pieces are made just for you. As such, we request custom work be prepaid. There are no returns on custom jewelry so be sure you are comfortable with your design before placing your order. If there is anything defective with the piece please let me know within the week so i can get this corrected for you.

JEWELRY CARE
Monterey Bay Seaglass Jewelry is durable and wears well with good care.

As with all fine sterling silver. one needs to care for the jewelry to maintain the jewelry and to prevent tarnish, which creates dark spots on the silver. When oxygen or sulfur come in contact with silver, they chemically bond to its surface and cause the silver to appear dirty or discolored. Discoloration can also occur when chemicals such as hairspray, perfumes and body lotions are put on the jewelry or in proximity to the sterling silver,.

Fortunately, caring for sterling silver and reducing tarnish is as simple as doing the dishes. All you need is to arm yourself with a few facts about the metal and a few tips and tricks for care and cleaning.

o We recommend taking your jewelry off before showering or swimming and always before sleeping. Chains can kink and wire work can get twisted or crushed if one sleeps with jewelry. Some of my designs have fine silver wraps that are not designed to hold up if one crushes them while sleeping or showers/swims with them.

o Put on your jewelry as the last step after you have put on your lotions and sprays.
o When not using your jewelry, store in an airtight bag (such as zip lock) and in a dark and dry area. You may also want to put an anti tarnish strip inside as well.
o Try to stay on top of any tarnish vs. letting it build up so it can be easily shined.
o Gently wash your jewelry with warm water and liquid dish soap to help prevent tarnish build up on the silver and the sea glass.
o To remove tarnish, you can use gentle silver creams such as Wrights Silver Cream. It is a gentle foaming silver cleaner. Make sure you rinse your jewelry well after cleaning and blot it dry with a soft wash cloth. You can also use a silver polishing cloth such as Sunshine Polishing cloth (about $2.50) or a cloth you use with your silver dining way. You can find these at many grocery or hardware stores, on Amazon and at some craft stores.

Here are cautions on other products sometimes used.
o Silver dips such as Shine Brite will quickly remove tarnish but may damage pearls and soft gemstones so carefully follow instructions. If your jewelry contains any components that have a patina finish, silver dips will likely remove the patina.
o Polishing cloths are handy to use on simple things like jump rings and ear wires, but may be difficult to use on small silver components and can leave smudges on the sea glass and your hands (they will also remove a patina) .

Keeping your glass clean-gently wash in warm sudsy water and dry. If you desire, you can use baby or mineral oil to deepen the color of your sea glass and reduce the frostiness. This is a personal choice. If you do this rinse the glass and blot any excess oil with a soft cloth.
