Kazuri pansy rainbow bead, teal swarovski, gold fill handmade earrings

Dark confetti in purple, teal and green with 14K gold splatter is the focus of these earrings. These Kazuri beads are just gorgeous! They have a dark pansy purple base with splatters of 14K gold all over them and iridescent shades of purple, teal and green. I accented them with teal and purple Swarovski crystals. The large purple crystal is nestled in a gold vermeil bead cap. These earrings are wire wrapped with gold filled wire, hang on gold filled french ear wires and hang down 2 3/8" (6 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the last crystal.

Now some of the little reminders ... These are crystal and ceramic beads so they can break if dropped onto a hard surface. I'll always combine shipping if you buy multiple items together. I accept paypal, money orders and cashiers checks. All items come gift wrapped for you to open yourself or give to someone else.

The shipping/handling price includes delivery confirmation (except for international since that service isn't available). There is no charge for shipping within the United States and there is a nominal shipping charge to other countries.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I love the look and feel of Kazuri beads. These are made by women in Kenya who are given fair wages to help them out of poverty. Kazuri Beads is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.

More Info

More on Gold Filled versus Gold Plated:
I use gold filled beads/wires rather than gold plated because gold filled is created by a process of using heat and pressure to bond a layer of real gold over some base metal (usually copper). Gold plating is an electro-chemical process which places a thin molecule of gold (or something gold colored) over a base metal and then a second chemical is often used for finishing to add a brightness to the bead. I found early on that gold plating can wear off in weeks if it is really poorly done and heavily used. Since that initial disappointment I've used gold filled beads (when available) and have never seen a sign of wear on any of the pieces I've worn over the years.
