The Western Capri Motel is located in Tulsa just outside of town heading west on what used to be old Route 66 (now a part of I-44 along this section). Unfortunately this sign has recently been replaced with a rather plain backlit sign. Check out http://www.osageneon.com/western_capri_motel.htm which shows the tearing down of the old classic sign and its replacement with a rather unremarkable modern sign. For travelers of the old route, the sign was perhaps the only reason to consider staying. Now it is just another nondescript motel in a jungle of many.
