Details

These earrings are perfect for Halloween. But what I love even more is that they are great all year long! Spiders aren't seasonal or restricted to Halloween, after all. This would be a great gift for someone who likes the unusual or avoids fads and trends.

The earrings measure two and a quarter inches (5.5cm) long. They have a shepherd's hook ear wire.

There is a matching bracelet, Black and Ruby Spider Bracelet--1--. If you purchase both items in a set, I will deduct 10% from the total for both pieces.

The spiders have eight legs, a head, and a body. The legs are made of black twisted bugles and ruby Czech glass. The body and head are made of black Czech faceted glass beads.

The last pictures represent how your item may look on arrival.

**I know International shipping rates look high, however, I do REFUND any overages of a dollar or more. If you would like an exact rate, let me know your country and item youd like to purchase, and I will get back to you. Otherwise, like I said, I will issue a refund.**

Shipping upgrades are available, including express or UPS, Fed-Ex, etc, but will be extra! Please contact me for more details.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

The most notable ancient legend that explains the origin of the spider is the story of the weaving competition between the Greek goddess Athena and the princess Arachne. The Greek Arachne means "spider". In Ancient Egypt, the spider was associated with the goddess Neith in her aspect as spinner and weaver of destiny, this link continuing later through the Babylonian Ishtar and Greek Athena. In African folklore, the spider is personified as Anansi, the trickster god.
