This piece measures 43MM long by 33MM wide by 10MM thick. A US quarter is 24MM for comparison.
The pendant bail's hole measures a generous 5MM by 7MM, allowing for a wide variety of necklace options.
*Please note* Don't worry if a pendant's top appears crooked in the picture, it's just my shoddy photography and not the piece itself!
Please keep in mind that glass can be very difficult to photograph and the pictures simply do not do the work justice! I guarantee that you'll be stunned by the depth of the designs and how rich the colors are compared to the photos. My glass looks best in natural sunlight and may appear slightly darker indoors.
You are looking at one borosilicate (boro) glass pendant, skillfully crafted by artist Mike Buczek in his North Carolina studio. These pendants are a uniquely elegant new style I've been working on, incorporating a sterling plated pendant bail attached to one of my hand blown glass cabochons.
My cabochons are made with a variety of high quality clear and colored borosilicate glasses and are annealed in a digitally controlled Aim kiln for strength and durability.
The bail is attached to the cabochon with an industrial strength glass-to-metal adhesive that is designed to last a lifetime. I am so confident in the strength of the bond that I will extend to it a lifetime warranty - if it EVER comes off from normal use, simply send it back to me where I will fix and return it along with return shipping up to $2.50.
I can remove the pendant bail if you'd prefer using my cabochons in your own creative projects. Please include a note with your payment and I'll be happy to remove the bail free of charge!
I can also include a length of black satin cord for free, just be sure to include a note requesting the cord along with your payment. For simple instructions on making an adjustable necklace, go to: http://www.rubysbeadwork.com/SlidingKnots.html
