I got this dress with the vain (VERY vain) hope that some day I'd be able to wear it, but I have to accept that the day will never come, so I've decided to sell it. My estimations, based on my research of styles, date this dress from around the late sixties to early seventies.
The top is made from a textured, floral damask, in hues of dusky rose, sage green, and accents of lavender. It's accented with pink, green, and blue rhinestones and gold braid. It has a darted bustline, capped sleeves, and an empire waist.
The skirt is gorgeous and flowing. It's tea-length and made of cream-colored crepe chiffon with a matching satin underslip. When you walk in this dress, you'll glide like a goddess.
This dress is in good condition. There are no sweatstains on the armpits. The zipper works, though it sticks where the skirt meets the bodice if you dont' make sure you have the zipper pulled straight. There are 11 missing rhinestones (that I could see), but it's not obvious. Honestly, I didn't even notice them until I started editing my photographs. It wouldn't be difficult to replace the rhinestones if you wanted to.
Measurements were made laying the garment flat, and measuring from seam to seam, then multiplying the results by two.
Shoulders - 34"
Bustline (4" were added to account for bust darts) - 40"
Empire Waist - 30"
Skirt length - 41"
Total dress length (measured from shoulder seam to skirt hem) - 56"
