Did you know that wooden utensils are the best things you can use on Teflon or any other pan for that matter? You can extend the life of your pans by using a wooden spatula. This Cherry spatula is perfect for stir frying or sautéing. The gently curved handle of these spatulas make it easy to stir and fold ALL the food in your pan, very easily, with style!

Hand crafted of one piece of hand selected Cherry, carefully shaped, steam bent and sanded for a silky smooth feel, then finished with my food safe blend of mineral oil and beeswax I call Board Balm. These are not the thin, wimpy wooden utensils you find in most stores. Crafted of solid American Hardwoods, with just the right balance of heft and balance, they are sure to give you many years of faithful service. 12 inches long, 2 inches at the widest with a silky smooth handle that feels great in your hand and looks great!

These kitchen tools can be wonderful wedding or house warming gifts, or just a thoughtful gift for the chef in your life---Especially if that chef is YOU!

These tools are also available in Walnut, Maple and Quarter Sawn White Oak.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I do most of the cooking in our household and have always reached my old wooden cooking tools first. One day after cleaning up my shop & trying to figure out where to store all the short pieces of hardwood that seem to multiply on their own every night I went in to start dinner & really looked at the old spatula I was using. It was looking pretty beat up after many years of faithful service. After dinner I collected most of my wooden cooking tools & went back out to the shop. Most of them had straight handles, either squared off or round. I realized I really liked the one that had a wider, more rounded handle. Then I looked at the various blade ends & chose the ones I reached for most often. This straight spatula took a few tries till I came up with this really elegant and efficient design. This was the first wooden utensil in my line of cooking tools. I have slowly added other spatulas and wooden spoons to the line, each one carefully designed to feel "right" in your hand.
