Farber & Shlevin Inc. Aluminum ware Vintage Petal Basket Ring Bowl
This vintage retro aluminum shallow serving tray is probably circa 1950s or earlier. It's lovely at a wedding as a petal basket for a flower girl, as a candy dish on the dessert table, or holding a glass votive candle. Tie a ribbon around the Art Deco coiled handle and it's a perfect bowl for a ring bearer - put some moss on the bottom or a flat flower like a gerbera daisy. It goes well with mid-century and shabby cottage decor.
The bowl has a serrated edging with a raised floral design (chrysanthemums). The dish measures 7 ½" across and is 1 ½" high; with handle it is 10" across. The coil measures 3 5/8" high. The bottom is marked "Farber & Shlevin Inc Hand Wrought 1702". This is a great aluminum ware art bowl with an aluminum handle that is put together with rivets. A very nice collectible to keep after your wedding!
This sweet little shallow bowl is in nice vintage condition, showing some wear and use. I have not cleaned it so you can keep the metal patina if you'd like, or clean it up if you prefer. The handle is solidly attached, there are some wear marks on the bottom outside of the bowl, and some very minor wear and tear pitting on the interior.
In the photo above, it contains the petals from one very large rose. It would look nice with your bows on it and more petals.
Mid Century Aluminum Shallow Dish With Coiled Handle. I only have one of these, get it before it's gone!
