Custom Framed Wedding Invitation made with Quilled Paper Flowers
Do you want to give a memorable gift for the wedding of your loved one? What better cherished gift for a wedding than to give the gift of the bride's own wedding invitation, beautifully framed with an array of custom made paper quilled flowers coordinating with the bride's colors and that of the invitation itself? I created this custom wedding invitation frame for a recent wedding, and the bride, groom and whole family were thrilled. I can use similar flowers and technique for any invitation, adapting the colors to suit and making it one-of-a-kind just for you.
The frame is a rich wood, with black velvet type fabric as the background. Very classy. The light colored flowers show up so well against the dark background, and coordinate with the cream, pink, violet, burgundy and green tones of the actual photo on the invitation. The rectangular shape of the frame is in contrast to the the way the flowers are splayed in the actual invitation and how the quilled flowers are arranged.
The flowers are in the "bird's eye" style, looking directly down on them and included are small, delicate roses in different shades of cream, violet, rose and pink. I have included a variety of flowers for this particular invitation, and include daisy-like flowers with tiny pearls as their center, tiny buds on vines, small tulip-like flowers and some with fringed petals that have blue centers to match the groom's colors in the photo.
The flowers range in size from small buds to larger looped flowers. They are arranged among quilled greenery including miniature fern-like leaves, larger leaves, stems, and delicate, curling vines.
Glass covers the frame, protecting the delicate paper curls from dust. All small pieces are hand glued, using tweezers when necessary. The frame itself can be set upon a table, having a fold out stand to support it, or it can be hung on a wall.
Each wedding invitation is unique, and I would be more than happy to work with you on selection of colors, type of flowers, style of frame or arrangement of borders. For this frame I created a decorative tag in the shape of a leaf with the initial of the wedding couple's last name on it. This was based on one that I had seen before that came with a wedding invitation. I made a small bouquet with greenery, a few flowers and a single quilled rose to go on the leaf. Tiny pearl beads also accent the leaf and tie in with the other pearls used as flower centers in the border. This leaf accent is in the lower left corner. I can come up with something special for the invitation that you would like framed, too.

Thank you so much, and stop in again soon.
I cannot recommend Wendy and her family highly enough! Wendy's tatted items look beautiful in the photos, but my earrings that came which she custom made to my size requirement are just gorgeous! I will enjoy wearing this lightweight and lovely design over and over, I'm sure. Just exquisite work and quality!
My wooden spatula made by David, Wendy's 13-year-old son, is fantastic! It has a thicker handle than some of my spatulas and that makes it so much easier to hold and grip with my stiff arthritic hand...what a blessing! And the quality is top-notch as well. Obviously is quite committed to providing quality designs, just like his mother.
My many communications with Wendy regarding my order prior to purchase and then throughout purchase and receipt were exceptionally pleasant! It is obvious the Wright Family are interested in taking good care of their customers, as well as providing beautifully crafted items of the highest quality. I could not be happier and hope to order more "stuff" from the Wrights in the future!
Wendy, I LOVE the earrings. Can't wait to wear them. Thanks so much!
This handmade wooden spatula is all that I had hoped for. It's both lovely and functional. The grain is beautiful and the unique labor intensive sanding process makes for a satiny smooth surface. I like the extra touch of the leather hanging loop. I just used it for the first to saute garlic and olive oil and the design fits beautifully in my hand. Thank you for a special product, exceptional customer service, careful packaging and fast shipping.
