This unique and delicate necklace is reminiscent of Victorian finery and the colors of an English rose garden. The necklace is crocheted with a ribbon yarn in shades of deep rose, burgundy, garden greens, a hint of apricot, and hints of apricot, brown and amber. It is very textural -- both silky and matte fibers are used. Along the neckline, the edge is embellished with a thin line of beaded crochet using very thin burgundy rayon cord and glass beads in clear iridescent topaz, frosty green, and frosty rose. Along the lower edge, the ribbon has been crocheted into bright silver metal rings. Along the bottom edge of the rings, a double strand of metallic thread, one in a pale green and one in a pale rose, is crocheted along with burgundy glass delica beads and iridescent deep green seed beads to create a delicate scallop effect.
The necklace closes with an antique silver-plated pewter toggle clasp in a leaf design. It is 23 inches long and about 2 inches wide.
