This handmade orange fused glass platter is a beautiful piece that coordinates well with any decor - imagine it as a centerpiece on your dining room table or displayed on a stand on that empty bookcase. The design features a center of clear black and white stringer glass that is bordered by a gold coated iridized black glass accent and then a highlight of beautiful orange glass on each end. The matte metallic like finish of the iridized glass is a nice contrast to the glossy transparent orange glass. I like to use this size tray as a centerpiece on my dining room table - just add a pillar candle and then add some accent pieces such as pumpkins, flowers or even polished stones and you have a beautiful display.
This rectangle plate measures approximately 7 x 14.5 inches (17.5 x 37 cm). I've signed this piece on the back with 24 karat permanent gold ink.
To create this plate, 3 firings in the kiln at temperatures ranging from 1250 to 1500 degrees were required. The edges were smoothed by grinding them with a diamond disk to give them a nice straight line.
I personally make all the items on my website in my studio with is located in Roswell, Georgia USA.
