This is a very unique fused glass pendant with dichroic accents. The colors of spring flowers, yellow and green, are represented in this free-form piece. There are sparkling, textured bits of dichroic glass that embellish both the earrings and pendant. The pendant measures almost 1 inch at the widest point and 1.75 inches at the longest point. (2.5 cm x 4.5 cm) It is hung from a gold plated bail. The post earrings are about .5 inches (1.3 cm) square and have wide acrylic post backs for comfort and support.
This set has been tack fused to retain the integrity of each form. It was then carefully annealed in a digital kiln for longevity.

This set will look lovely with the fashionable lime green color that is trending now. Wear this with a gold necklace, neck wire or a black leather cord. A ribbon will dress it up. S1154

What is dichroic glass?
Dichroic glass was first developed by NASA as part of their satellite mirror systems. The exceptionally thin coatings are applied to glass in very controlled environments. Di-chroic means two colors and this glass reflects/transmits different colors depending on the angle of light. When it is worn with different colors, it appears to pick up and reflect some of those colors so it really enhances the total look. I call this the "mood" of the glass.

I wear my handmade jewelry almost every day. Strangers have often stopped me to look at the dichroic glass and ask or comment about it. Seeing the jewelry being worn and catching the light has been my best advertisement. My customers have commented that the dichroic glass jewelry has been a real favorite!
