Trifari Design Rare Brooch Pin Horse Head Figural Unsigned Book Piece

Excellent condition, this Filly and Foal set is a beautiful three dimensional design includes a flowing mane and Ruby red eyes in a brushed gold satin finish. This set is depicted in Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals by Kathy Flood (2007) on page 225 (both pins are set against the book photograph of this piece in the second to last photo). Difficult to find, especially as a set, this is perfect for a figural collector or horse lover. Excellent condition, there are a few nicks or flea bites to the plating visible only upon very close inspection with a loupe, Each brooch measures 1 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" and 1" wide.(Inventory Reference W-041120-#2)

This jewelry comes from a dear friend and a truly exceptional lady. While having an antique shop, she has collected these fine designer pieces for the last 40 years and has an incredibly discerning eye for quality as well as unique and special pieces. The extensive nature of her collection has meant that she has not worn most pieces more than once.

It is my distinct pleasure that she has chosen to pass her extensive collection on to me. I am in the process of acquiring her complete collection and know that I will be keeping some special pieces for myself.
