This is a blue and white Wedgewood jasperware box, in the "kidney bean" shape. The blue relief images on the top and sides of the box are in a Greco-Roman style.
Jasperware porcelain has a matte finish, not a glossy one, because it's not glazed. The bottom of the box is stamped "Wedgewood. Made in England." There is also a small mark, like a "P" or a "d," and something even smaller, like a tiny "c." The "c" could be a slight irregularity in the porcelain. I cannot date this piece, but I've found evidence that it was being made from the 50s into the 70s.

Condition notes: I could not find any chips or scratches. The only condition issue is the dark smudges and dust that Jasperware tends to attract. I have carefully cleaned this box with a gentle soapy solution. This item sold as is. I have done my best to represent it accurately in photos.
I have many more great vintage finds, so please have a look around my studio. Thanks for stopping by!
