Septarian stones were formed millions of years ago, when the Gulf of Mexico reached the Southern portion of Utah. When the ocean receded, many marine fossils were left trapped within the cracks of these rocks forming calcite crystals and Aragonite minerals. The yellow portion of the rock is calcite and the brown portion is Aragonite. Most Septarian nodules are solid, but some contain small and large cavities lined with calcite crystals.
Septarian metaphysical qualities are in aiding in communication, for grounding and blocking negative energy. It's also said to help in overall healing and health.
