Gabriel at the Annuciation, signed and numbered
Details
This is a study of Gabriel in "The Annunciation" by Master Leonardo da Vinci. My intent was to capture in my eye and mind the work of the Master. All I wanted was to have an excuse to look at his masterful brushstroke and details for hours.
The entire painting presents the traditional subject of the Annunciation. The final work is a collaboration of these two Italian Renaissance artists: Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Verrocchio, and it dates circa 1472-1475. It can be found in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
The angel itself is a great work of art. There are a few mistakes with the entire painting that present the work of a young painter, but not in his depiction of Gabriel.
There are only 100 prints in this 2013 edition, and each is individually signed and numbered.
