*****More information about the provenance/story of this item ********
This kantha quilt was part of the wedding trousseau trunk of a family member, decades ago. Due to age, use and at times neglect, some of them had holes, stains and frayed edges. I did my best to restore it to its original state by repairing holes, using kantha hand quilting stitches. Big stains (if present) were also covered up with clean fabric patches using hand quilting. Then my daughter and I washed the smaller stains out and repaired the frayed edges, as much as possible. All of this repair and restoration work was done with my own hands using cotton threads, cotton fabric patches and needle.
