Mildred Pierce ~ handmade, flower & tulle trimmed, mini-boater hat
The first of a brand new design ~ the mini-boater.
This lovely, one of a kind little topper is covered in a beautifully flocked, rich chocolate brown taffeta and lined with oatmeal felt.
Trimmed with ribbon and paper roses, buttons, beads, tulle and a vintage spray of ostrich feathers, this fabulous combination of rich browns, delicate blush, peach and salmon with a splash of burgundy is, to me a bit evocative of the 1940's but really quite suitable to any era.
The hat is worn by slipping the milliner's elastic underneath your hair. Once in position you may slide the small comb into your hair as well for added security.
The gorgeous matching hatbox is included.
This one of a kind hat and matching hatbox are handmade by me completely from scratch using patterns I designed myself. This is NOT a fabric covered doll's hat. I cut and sew each hat by hand.
7-1/4" (18cm) diameter x 2" (5cm) to top of crown x 4" (10cm) to top of tulle & ostrich feather bow
9" (23cm) wide x 12-3/4" (32cm) long x 6-1/4" (16cm) high
