Oil Spill - Original Acrylic Abstract Painting
Acrylic And Plaster on stretched canvas 6 x 8. I have recently started a series of abstract paintings, and while doing them, this one jumped out at me. As I painted the blue background, the shape of the plaster emerged, looking like a distorted, screaming face. Very tongue-in-cheek, I decided to go with it, and when I asked myself why the face was screaming like that, the answer, given the blue watery background, and the "islands" of plaster, became clear: he was screaming because of the oil spill. This full of energy painting also makes a statement about current events. At this point, it was suggested to me that I do a series of distorted faces, which I have started, so you will see more of these. Some are more whimsical, and some not. The great thing about this series is that there is no way to reproduce another exactly like this, so they are truly one of a kind.
This painting is an original with copyright by the artist. The copyright does not transfer with the sale of the piece.
If you are in Canada, I will have to add taxes to the purchase price amount (HST for all of the provinces now charging that, and GST for the rest of Canada) This can be billed separately.
I am also more than willing to combine shipping & save you money. Please email me first, with the pieces you are interested in, and I can alter the listing to reflect the combined price. With such disparity in types of items for sale, I find it difficult to set a fixed combined price dollar value. Thanks for your understanding.

I ship the least expensive way that I am able to without compromising the safety of the artwork. For paintings, this means larger, sturdier boxes. Signature is a requirement for anything priced over $200 with shipping included. Though I am new to selling on this site, I have sold extensively on ebay and other sites, so I have plenty of experience with shipping.
Though I want my customers to always be happy, returns are handled on a case by case basis, and are not an automatic. Especially certain pieces, and jewellery, since in the past I have had someone wear a jewellery piece, scratch or deform it, and then try to return. If a piece is to be returned, it MUST be unworn, and in the same condition it was sent to you. I am sure you understand, as I am sure you would not want me to sell you a piece which has been worn before.
If a return is to be done, buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost, and I do not refund the original shipping price, only the item price. Custom work has a no-refund policy.
