UTORIAL Viking Queen Neecklace
Details
While Viking men were explorers, warriors, merchants, and pirates who raided, traded, explored and settled in wide areas of Europe, Asia and the North Atlantic islands from the late 8th to mid-11th century, Viking women stayed at home and were responsible for everything within the home and the Queen of all she surveyed.
Viking women, you could say were the pre-cursors of the modern women. Everything she brought into the marriage remained her personal property and did not fully become part of her husband's estate. In fact, the Viking women have the ability to divorce her husband should he mistreat her or is unable to provide for her or her children. Now that is what I call a completely modern woman!
To celebrate these strong and modern Viking women, the Viking Queen Necklace is born. The spikes are a symbol of traditional Viking warrior helmets. The crystals encrusting the pendant is a tribute to the riches that remain her own even in marriage. A solitary beautiful crystal pendant completes the look of this striking sophisticated necklace.
To ensure that the pendant remains the focus, a simple herringbone rope is used and is closed with an embellished beaded toggle.
Definitely a necklace that is unapologetic in its boldness and sophistication.
Included are instructions for both the basic as well as twisted herringbone rope.
