ELFLING CREATIONS (fantasy art by Meri Greenleaf) has moved! You can now find my art, costume accessories, and jewelry on my website at http://elflingcreations.com
I also have a shop on Etsy at http://merigreenleaf.etsy.com
(If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be happy to help!)
For information on payment, shipping, returns, custom orders, and earrings, please scroll down.
***The items in my shop are NOT intended for children!*** My creations are for young-at-heart adults; for example the dolls are art dolls, not play dolls (they all have small parts), and the costume accessories (horns, ears, etc) are crafted to fit adults and contain small and/or breakable parts. Due to CPSIA regulations, please keep all items away from children under 12.
By purchasing the handmade items in this shop, you acknowledge reading the policies and agree to not hold Elfling Creations responsible for any and all liability that may arise from using said items.
Everything I make is from a smoke-free home. We do have a cat, however, but she isn't allowed to smoke or sleep on the art supplies. Some hair could end up in things (especially yarn), though, so this is a warning if you're highly allergic to animals.
Colors may appear different on every monitor and screen so what you see on your screen may vary slightly from the color of the actual item.
I accept Paypal and Amazon Payments. Payment is expected as soon as you purchase. (Both Paypal and Amazon Payments are automatically hooked into the Artfire checkout process.)
I always send a message to let you know that payment was received and the item is being shipped, either through Paypal shipping or through an email.
***For PA Residents:***
Please note that I have to charge a 6% sales tax to Pennsylvania residents (this is also on shipping; unfortunately shipping is taxed here, too, if the item is taxable). This should factor directly into your order if you're from PA.
I ship almost everything in a well-padded envelope; things that are too large, fragile, or awkward for that get shipped in a well-padded box. I reuse packaging whenever possible.
US Shipping: I ship everything USPS First Class to keep the shipping cost as low as possible. If you would like insurance, please contact me as it will cost a bit more. Delivery confirmation (tracking) is included automatically on everything going within the US.
-The exception are my custom plushies/dolls; those I ship to the US with USPS Priority (with insurance) because they're very one-of-a-kind.
International: For other countries I ship First-Class International; if you would like the items to be insured, please contact me as that would cost extra. ***NOTE:*** Please note that if you opt not to ask for insurance, it is at your own risk and I cannot replace the order or issue a refund if it is lost! The customer is responsible for any and all customs and duties fees.
-The exception here is also my custom dolls/plushies; those I send internationally with USPS Registered Mail (the safest international shipping option) because they are very one-of-a-kind.
I combine shipping, and ready-made items are shipped within 3 or 4 business days of payment clearing (custom items are shipped once they are finished). I do try to mail things out sooner than this, though. :)
Once your order is mailed, shipping time within the US is usually 3-5 business days to get to you.
Shipping time for international orders can take as little as 2-3 weeks to reach you, but sometimes could take as much as 6-8 weeks. Usually an item falls within 3 weeks, but it could take longer depending on how fast the post office moves the package along and how close to the winter holiday it is.
***Expedited Shipping*** If you need an item to get to you faster, please contact me with your location, the item, and when you need it by and I can give you a price quote for the upgraded shipping.
**If the shipping ends up costing less than you were charged by $1.00 or more, I will refund you the extra amount you paid.**
I work hard at what I do to give you the best possible product, but keep in mind that everything is handmade. If you have any questions please contact me before buying, and I can give you whatever info you need.
That said, I will accept returns within two weeks of you receiving the item, but the item has to be in a never-used condition. (Also, please let me know if something's wrong ASAP.) If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me before you mail it back so we can discuss the transaction. I promise that I answer my emails right away. I will refund your money as soon as I receive the item back (however, I can't refund the return shipping).
If your item happens to break on you, please let me know at any time so I can try what I can to either fix it or replace it. Since it's handmade, I'll hopefully be able to help!
I love making custom things! If you are interested in something made special, just send me a message and we can plan it out. Depending on the price of the item or how custom it is, I may require a deposit or payment up front. (Generally if you're requesting jewelry, no deposit is needed.)
~For the larger, multi-color chains, I make each individual link by hand and connect them together into the chain. Since these are handmade, there may be a place in the copper rings where the copper color may show through where the rings were cut open.
~I can switch pierced earring posts out with clip-ons (for the earlobe) and cuffs (for the cartilage) for no additional cost. I can also change the slide-on cartilage cuffs for pierced posts. Just let me know when you check out.
~For a few more dollars, I can switch out the earring posts for Sterling Silver or 14k Gold Plated (by default I use stainless steel). Contact me via Artfire or send me an email if you'd like this option.
~I can put as many posts on the earring as you have piercings.
~I can make my earrings into pairs or matching sets.
~My cartilage ear cuffs are made to fit either ear.
~Ear cuffs just slide onto the ear and rest on the middle cartilage. If it feels loose, squeeze the ear cuff part gently to tighten it a bit.
~Please note that the mannequin head I use for modeling things is slightly smaller than an actual human head, so please read the measurements when looking at a listing and compare this to your own ear if you're wondering how it will fit. (You can do this with either a cloth measuring tape or take a piece of string, measure out the length of the earring against a ruler, and then hold that measured string against your own ear.)
~Please also keep in mind that everyone's ears are different sizes, so the ear cuffs may sit on your ear differently than they do on the mannequin since the cuffs are one size fits all.
