Celtic Knot in a knot weaving

Turning to my Celtic roots, this piece is another in a series of knotwork weavings used to explore the intricacies and meditativeness of Celtic knots. This 9 x 7 1/4 inch weaving displays two variations of 2-line celtic knots, one placed inside the other.

This weaving uses various rainbowed and lined beads of browns and amethyst for lines of the knots, with milder toned beads used to shade, and thus highlight, the over- under- patterning of the larger knot. the background is a matte dark bronze. It fits best into a 9x12 frame and contains 15,129 delica beads - handwoven one at a time.
