This wood sculpture of a Mongolian Wild Horse has been hand carved from basswood and painted using an airbrush to achieve the delicate colors.
Przewalskis Horse or Mongolian Wild Horse once inhabited the steppes and semi-deserts of southern Siberia, Mongolia and western China. They are extinct, or very nearly so, in the wild.
This one is a nice size to hold in hand: 7.5 x 12 x 2 centimeters, or 3 x 4.7 x 1 inches.
